PotluckOn Thursday, October 26th, the entire Haggerty Community filled the gym and cafeteria for our annual International Potluck! We had a great a turnout! The food was delicious and plentiful! 10 countries were represented by specific country tables - thanks to those families who brought in clothing and artifacts and interactive exhibits! Thanks to Jafar and his two accompanists (funded by Friends of Haggerty) for entertaining us with their West African drumming! They captured the kids attention and them up and dancing. Thanks to Shelley Irvin-Kent for helping us secure this great entertainment. Our 5th graders also worked hard to help support this event - helping with country tables, arts and crafts, and the welcome table! Thanks to the 5th grade teachers, Ms. Stewart and Ms. Faucher, for the support! A big thank you to all of you who cooked, helped set-up, welcomed others, cleaned, and represented many different cultures for our community! We would also like to thank Nada, a current CRLS student and Haggerty alumni, who talked about the recent tragic event in Somalia and led us in a moment of silence.

A very big thanks also to Joe, our head custodian, who stayed late that night - putting our school back together for the morning. Any feedback on this event, please email Lissa or Carroll Magill (PTO President).
